1. Jageshwar Dham

The magnificent temple, which is located in the Jata Ganga river valley, is surrounded on all sides by tall deodars, rhododendrons, and pines. The Jageshwar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s younger incarnation, also known as Tarun Jageshwar or Bal Jageshwar. The Nagesh Darukabane, also known as the Swayambhu Linga, is one of India’s 12 jyotirlingas. The Shiv Ling is divided into two pieces and is located in the sanctum-sanatorium. Lord Shiva is depicted in the larger version, while Goddess Parvati is depicted in the smaller version. In the temple, an Akhand Jyoti is constantly blazing. Behind the Shivling are two metal images of Chand kings. Nandi and Skandi, two life-size idols of dwarpalas (guards), stand on either side of the main temple entrance. It is a collection of 14 temples designed in the Nagar architectural style. A big uncut natural rock Shiva linga may be found in the main temple. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of Dandeshwar, who lives here to maintain watch over the area.

The ASI has erected a museum near the temple complex.
