Tiffin Top in Nainital Uttarakhand

Naina Peak, also known as China Peak, is a Himalayan peak in Nainital located 10 kilometers from Tallital Bus Stand. It is Nainital’s tallest peak and one of the most popular places to visit during your stay in the city.

Naina Peak is 2615 meters above sea level. After the 1962 war with China, the peak was renamed from China Peak to Naina Peak. The stunning natural surroundings and snow-covered mountains all around this mountain’s highest peak are well-known. The Nanda Devi Peak and the mountains on the Tibet border may be seen from Naina Peak, which is a peaceful location.

Naina Peak is one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Nainital, especially among trekkers. The top is 9.4 kilometers from the city, and it is connected to it by a motorable road for a short while. Approximately 6 km of the complete stretch must be hiked, providing excellent exposure to Kumaon vegetation and fauna.

A dense forest of cypress, oak, and pine trees covers the entire walk, with Rhododendrons adding a touch of pink and red. The hike takes you along trails that run beside the Jim Corbett National Park on one side and provides you a spectacular glimpse of Nainital’s natural splendor on the other.

A walk up Naina Peak is one of the best things to do in Nainital because of its high altitude and lush green forest trail. The neighboring peaks can be seen from the peak, which provides amazing views. The climb from Mallital to Naina Peak is a little difficult, covering a distance of 6 kilometers. You can get here by riding a horse or walking via the rugged pathways.

The Naina Peak trip is a trekker’s dream because it includes a variety of uphill, steep, and picturesque trails. As you progress uphill, the woodland becomes denser. The 6-kilometre ascent takes about an hour and a half to complete. The top provides clean air and scenery that feels like it belongs in another world. The trip is immensely gratifying, with Himalayan mountains on one side, Nainital city, and lake on the other, and picture-perfect flora all around.

From Snow View Point or Mallital, you can hire a pony or horse to take you to the mountain. At the peak, there are no shops open. As a result, it is important to bring food and water with you.
